Watch Hill
Here are pictures from our recent trip to Watch Hill, Rhode Island one chilly weekend in June. I think for me, Watch Hill may be the happiest place on earth.

Winter 2012
We recently returned from another great vacation, so you know what that means: time to get caught up on my pictures! To get started, here are some from over 6 months ago.... Henry's birthday, and general winter 2012/2013.
Henry's birthday was held in a movie theater, so the pictures are somewhat bizarre- mostly of me making the cupcakes and people arriving to the theater. A special shout out goes to my cousin, Ami, who took most of the pictures, and especially about 250 shots of me making the cupcakes, alone (don't worry- for this album I only included the cupcake highlights). For the birthday, we rented out the historic Newtown Movie Theatre, said to be the oldest operating theater in the county. We showed Madagascar 3 and as favors gave all the kids clown wigs, in reference to Chris Rock's brilliant "Afro Circus." Most of Henry's class came, people traveled from near and far to attend, and good time was had by all, or so I hope.
The winter photos include some real glamor shots of us and our neighbors, waiting outside one cold saturday morning for the Newtown Fire Department to make their annual Santa rounds. Every year since we've lived here it's the same thing: you wake up around 8 or so on the weekend to hear tons of sirens.... sirens that just won't stop. At first you think, my goodness, there must be a terrible fire somewhere! but then the sirens keep going, and keep going, and get louder and louder, and you realize, SANTA IS COMING! AND HE WILL BE RIDING ATOP A FIRE TRUCK, THROWING CANDY CANES! So you run outside in your pajamas in hopes of catching glimpse of Santa, and a candy cane or two. So, there are a few pictures of us and the neighbors in our lovely pajamas (note my pants/ shoe combo, as well as Emily's stellar PJ pants). These photos also include a few from Alena & Aaron's visit back in February? or March 2013.

Finally, here are some pics from Henry's swim lessons, which started last November and took us all the way into June! Sitting poolside, watching him splash around every Wednesday from 6-7 definitely was the highlight of my week those many months.
