Despite the short notice that Aaron gave us of his impending birth, the Cohens and Dussaucys couldn't let this precious little boy enter the world without a proper welcome, and so on Sunday, we were 15 people at the hospital waiting room, and subsequently, 15 people toasting his arrival with champagne. In addition to me, Raphael and Henry, the welcome party included grandparents Robert, Annie and Michele, (Grandfather Bernard dispatched from Dijon immediately upon hearing the news), Aunts and Uncle Beatrice, Celine and Jeremie, Great Aunt and Uncle Patrick and Dominique, Great Grandma Nelly, and of course, Aaron's excited little sister, Alena.
Aaron's name is not only beautiful but also meaningful. His middle name Emile was the name of Alexandre's paternal grandfather. His second middle name, Joseph, is the Hebrew name of Great Uncle Patrick. (Might I add that Aaron is one of my absolute favorite names...)
We are extremely proud of Joanna, who, following the birth, promptly requested a cheeseburger. Alex didn't do so bad either. :-)
