We miss Grandma Joanne and Grandpa Art!

You left just yesterday and we miss you already! Our visit included trips to Brussels, Vianden, Metz, and Reims, but no sightseeing compared to the joy of just spending time together. Henry learned some new skills with Grandma Joanne, including perfecting his raspberry sound, and starting to grab his toys. They also had some marathon "conversations" together.

In addition to Brussels, our visit to Reims was our other significant trip. Reims is the city where Champagne comes from. We visited the houses of Pommery and Mumm, where we toured the caves and tasted different champagnes. Pommery was particularly fun because the caves included a modern art installation. One exhibit within the caves was a set up where birds were flying around and landing on electric guitars that were plugged into amps. The birds' movements on the strings created "music." Voila: art! It was unlike anything any of us had ever seen.

bird on guitar from Pommery caves. so weird.

Here is a link
to some of our pictures from the week. At the end, you'll see a short, cute moooooovie.

We miss you and can't wait to see you soon! but not soon enough!
