He is also getting his two front bottom teeth! For real this time! People have been telling me that he is teething since he has been 3 months old. But now I can see them about to come through. Just like the book says, they look like little canker sores. Poor guy, he cried all day today, I think because of his teeth. I wish they would poke through already!
He is also making great progress with his crawling and general mobility. There is a video of his crawling included with the pictures that are linked below. His crawling seems to be stuck in a phase where he wants to get up on all fours- literally his hands and feet. The result is that he often looks like an inexperienced Yogi trying to get into the downward facing dog position. Crawling on his knees isn't satisfactory- he really wants to be on his feet.
He has also started pulling himself up into a standing position. He has been most successful at this while in his crib. It is a good thing we are returning soon, where we will be able to set his new crib on the low position. The crib here is in the high position, and we are without tools to lower it. He is ready to jump right out. See exhibit A, taken this afternoon:
